Jupiter as the astronomer and artist Étienne Léopold Trouvelot drew it on 1 November 1880, at 9.30 at night, from The Trouvelot Astronomical Drawings (1881–82), cut free of its black page so only the planet is printed.
The print
Cotton-rich fleece with a cotton face, 322 g/m², dyed after sewing. Ribbed collar, cuffs and hem. Printed big on the back, about 15 × 20 cm, in the drawing’s own colours. The drawing is in the public domain, restored here from a scan of the plate.
